Case Study – Mr & Mrs H, Owners of a holiday let in South Devon
In 2009 Mr and Mrs H bought an upgraded detached property with a view to initially holiday letting, leaving open the possibility of eventually relocating permanently in the future. The property had been fully refurbished and Mr and Mrs H were particularly concerned that the high quality fit-out is maintained and that the property does not deteriorate, or become ‘tired and worn’ with constant lettings. They have been able to take advantage of our full management service including changeover cleaning following each guest departure and the reporting of all minor defects arising out of regular bookings. Any minor issues regarding the property are communicated to Mr and Mrs H and, where necessary are duly attended to by HHM in advance of any upcoming guest’ arrivals. Guest feedback on the standard of the property and overall cleanliness and presentation has been consistently excellent and Mr and Mrs H have been able to relax in the knowledge that their property is being kept clean, that their guests are being taken care of and that their interests are being looked after even though they rarely get the chance to visit their property.
Case Study – Mr and Mrs G, Owners of a holiday let in south Cornwall
Mr and Mrs G live next door to their holiday let property. However like most of us they lead busy lives and require a complete ‘hands-off’ management service for their property and their guests. HHM take care of all guest liaison, contacting the guests before arrival and arranging for key handover; clean the property on departure and change the linen with a fresh pressed set, and we also ensure that any minor defects or small issues are reported to Mr and Mrs G.
HHM’s reactive maintenance service takes care of any necessary minor (or major) property issues. We also provide a regular programme of proactive property maintenance including annual boiler servicing, electrical and PAT testing, a regular cut-back of the garden and an annual cleaning of the gutters and external paths and driveway. Mr and Mrs G are on hand to consult with any property related matters and although living next door, they are able to take a back seat with all aspects concerning the on-going management of their property.
Case Study – Mrs P, Owner of two converted apartments in Devon
Mrs P has employed her own cleaner directly for a number of years to carry out changeover cleaning, and continues to do so. However Mrs P lives a considerable distance from the property and in 2006 she approached HHM looking for ‘back up’ and support services. Ever since then we we have been providing a range of support services including guest liaison before arrival, an on-call service for guests when staying, as well as regular and routine property maintenance. Living so far away from her property, Mrs P feels comfortable knowing that her interests are being taken care of and her property and guests are being looked after.
